Description[ | ]
Upon casting the spell, an ice spike will appear on the player character's next tile on the right. After a brief delay, another ice spike will appear one tile after it, following the player's current vertical position one tile at a time. This repeats until they meet the end of the field, similar to the enemy Lurkr. Although the spikes remain on screen for a short period of time, they do not damage the player for walking into them (which is not the case for enemies). On hit, these spikes deal 90 damage as well as applying 1 Frost to the enemy.
Strategy and Synergy[ | ]
When using this spell, if you noticed that it'd take some time for the series of spikes to hit the enemy you wanted to hit, you should not be on the same row as the enemy for a while, as a lot of enemies are able to hit the player character at the same row as them. This would inevitably cause the player to have to dodge upwards or downwards, which will likely cause the spikes to miss the intended target. It is best used by moving onto the enemy's row with correct timing.
The spikes cannot damage the same enemy twice if they are already out on the field, however, newly spawned spikes will still be able to hit them. This means dislocation spells that may push the enemy backwards, such as Align and Air Slash, can be used effectively to allow the spikes to net in more damage and Frost application overall.
Trivia[ | ]
The flavor text is a reference to Let It Go, a very well-known song used in the animated movie Frozen.
