Shuffle
Shuffle
Note:
Restock all Spells in the deck.

Description[ | ]

Ejects all remaining loaded spells, and reloads them. The initial starting shuffle time is 2.5 seconds for all character kits except:

  • 1.5 for Saffron (Solo)
  • 2.0 for Violette (both Doubletime and Aria)

After each shuffle:

  • Shuffle time is increases by 0.15 seconds until the end of battle, to a maximum shuffle time of 3 seconds.
  • The player's ShieldShield reduced by 40%.

Strategy and Synergy[ | ]

Shuffle is a player only mechanic, this means enemies and bosses don't activate or have this mechanic for their own custom abilities, the exception if Shiso who can force the player to Shuffle.

Shuffle can be looked upon as a temporary time out from casting spells, although seen as a way of unable to do anything for a long amount of time, it actually still allow you to still ManaMana through ManaRegenMana Regen which helps in casting some spells the moment you get your deck restored.

Power of Shuffling[ | ]

Shuffling manually is good if you want to refresh your deck or not cast certain spells that are ConsumeConsumed on cast at the moment of the fight, so play your cards wisely if you want to combo certain spells correctly.

Shuffling has a global effect of "On Shuffle" functionality, which causes all artifacts that trigger through shuffle to activate, for example, ScalesScales give some ShieldShield, LifeJacketLife Jacket gives DefenseDefense and so on.

SleightSleight casts a similar "On Shuffle" effect that activates all Shuffle artifacts the player owns to be utilized, some artifacts are even further empowered such as LifeJacketLife Jacket which only removes the buff when the deck gets restocked, meaning that the DefenseDefense will last even farther and will also stack with an extra layer of another DefenseDefense from LifeJacketLife Jacket resulting in twice the amount momentarily, Sleight does a lot of things and can compliment builds in a way where it can be used offensively or defensively depending on the "On Shuffle" artifacts you currently own, all of that was said here also applies to CoverFireCover Fire.

BoltActionBolt Action works similarly to Sleight with a few differences other than activating the effect when an enemy dies, though this tend to be weaker against bosses due the lack of enemies spawning, but if you can get kills and the right artifacts, you could activate a lot of powerful and useful artifacts to protect and help you to finish the fight.

Important note that Sleight and Bolt Action do not reduce your Shield amount on cast.

Enemy Shuffle Artifacts[ | ]

Enemies tend to have artifacts applied to give them some difficulty and specialty in the fight, not all enemies tend to have artifacts but when they do they tend to activate when any sort of "On Shuffle" effect happens from the player and this is meant specifically to make them dangerous by scaling or temporary boost them if the fight last longer than intended.

The artifacts are the following:

If you don't shuffle a lot, these artifacts will do very little, but in smaller decks and depending on the artifact the lethality of the enemy and/or boss increases even further, terminating them is high priority.

Double Edge[ | ]

Not to be confused with the artifact DoubleEdgeDouble Edge.

FlashLoaderFlash Loader and DuelDiskDuel Disk have a powerful but also downsides depending on how you look at them, removing the shuffle wait time makes one of the Shop pacts trivial, empower artifacts and spells that increases the duration of the next shuffle time like RamjetRamjet, but at the cost weakening artifacts that requires you to be "while Shuffling" to have their effects for the moment, rendering them completely useless in the process, not to mention that Duel Disk removes the ability to manually shuffle and forces you to spend 6 mana worth of JamJam,
