Description

The Max HP change is be applied when first picked up. You may change your Max HP afterwards via other means. This artifact subtracts 0.15 from the Shield Decay Change modifier, meaning you will lose 40% of your Shield on Shuffle by default.

Strategy and Synergy

• As you lose Shield after shuffling, the Shield gain can dwindle very quickly, especially in smaller decks.
  • Duct Tape stacks with Transcendence and is highly recommended, reducing Shield loss on Shuffle to 10% (30% on Hell Pass 10).
• You're also completely vulnerable to Poison and Frost damage, which ignores Shields.
• Try to take this as a last resort if you're low on HP, like you would with Heart of Gold.
• Shopkeeper's Beret overwrites the Max HP change, but her current HP is still set to 1.
• Be warned that taking any artifacts that reduce your Max HP below 1 will instantly kill you.
• You can regain Max HP via Soul Food, Rescue Badge, the L (Flex) upgrade, and pacts.

Trivia

• The artifact's functionality, name, icon, and flavor text "Become 1 with everything." are a reference to an item in the Video Game Risk of Rain 2.
